I ate the flowerpot and touched a cat.

Today, I went out to meet Val, a friend I met in an online game, for the first time. Out of blue, we'd decided to meet up and try this flowerpot dessert she'd found from her friend's instagram. It seemed pretty unique and bam, there we are, walking about Boon Tat Street to look for Vanilla Bar & Cafe.

The flowerpot dessert we'd wanted to try was called Vanilla Dirt Cake. The price was pretty shocking for its size. $9.90! To make it worse, the website states $9.50. This is confusing and upsetting. But we still decided to try it since we came all the way to try it.

Vanilla dirt cake - oreo soil, cream base and gummi worms!
It was not bad. However, as we dug to the bottom, we were bummed to know that it was still frozen. The portion was small, however, it was filling. I would give it a 3/5.

Because it was still early, we headed down to Bugis so I could withdraw some cash. Afterwards, we headed down to Haji Lane. Unique lane, I'd thought. It was my first time there. I loved it, because the things I saw gave me a reason to go back next time. I bought a pack of postcards, 60 for $12. It was pretty cheap, although the designs were a little weird with quotes such as "Thinking of you..." and etc. After exploring Haji Lane, we were about to head back to Bugis when we chanced upon Meomi Cat Cafe.

Attracted by the cats, Val went in immediately and I was like, okay, I don't mind. I could use some experience. (PSST... it was my first time there too.) I'm not a fond lover of cats, but I'd choose cats over dogs.

It cost $13 + complimentary drink (Apple/Orange juice) for an hour inside.

My favourite cat, Oreo! Just like its name, its fur are of oreo colours.
Oreo is said to be the worst cat to handle of all, and also the most playful one. Sounds like me? :p Just kidding hahaha.

Oreo looked really funny, looking up like that HAHAHA

Waffle date w/ Agnesie Wesie

I found several recommended places by ladyironchef on his website. One of my selections included Hoopla Kitchen & Coffee. Of course, I was dying to try it out. It was pretty inconvenient but I guess it was worth the trip. It can be found at #01-05, Infinite Studios, 21 Media Circle. Get off at One-North MRT station and head for the shuttle bus at the bus stop. It will take you to Infinite Studios and is only available on weekdays, every 15 minutes.

I was done asking people out because whenever I do, they always say they are busy, can't make it, or some shitload excuses. *rolls eyes* They shouldn't even be telling people to meet up and stuff when they are not willing to, really. So, I tweeted hoping someone who is interested in eating waffles to message me and sure enough, Agnes was! I was really happy because I did not expect it lol. She was my PFP classmate and due to some circumstances, she was held back in school for half a year. It'd been a while since we met and thus, this hang out was really meaningful. We had a lot to catch up too.

This is what Hoopla waffles look like on ladyironchef's webstie. Mouth-watering and appealing!
Hoopla was not crowded and had a great atmosphere. To add, the grassy environment outside made the visit homely. No fast-paced city feels or stress. I loved it!

Mine was on the left, Agnes' on the right. We also ordered truffle fries to share in case waffles weren't enough.
As you can compare, the plate was different. I was kinda disappointed because the picture on ladyironchef gave me a lot of expectations :/ There's no butter too and the waffles wasn't topped prettily as in the ladyironchef's picture. Oh well. My order was buttermilk waffle with Tahitian Vanilla Bean ice-cream and chocolate sauce. Agnes ordered the same waffle, with Toast Marshmallow ice-cream and salted caramel sauce. Hoopla's signature ice-cream, Tahitian Vanilla Bean ice-cream, was a thumbs up. It sure lived up to its expectations as a signature. We both loved it, to the extent that Agnes liked it better than Toast Marshmallow ice-cream! The price was reasonable. However, we felt that truffle fries was overpriced for its portion. The Coastal Settlement's truffle fries was served in about the same portion and cost $7 (if I am not wrong).

Because the atmosphere was great and peaceful with low human traffic flow, time spent there was worthwhile. We had spent almost 2 hours there catching up with our lives. Hoopla had a great environment for such casual hang outs, I loved it.

We did not plan what to do afterwards so the trip to Clarke Quay was an impromptu idea of Agnes'. Of course, we took some pictures as well as took a stroll in that area.

Agnes wanted to try this Azabu Sabo ice-cream so we bought some to try!
Unfortunately, the ice-cream did not live up to my expectations. It melted really fast despite the not-so-humid weather and the taste was nothing unique. It was also pretty soft, too.

Pubs errywhereeeee!
Gotta love the colours!
We actually walked all the way to Fullerton Hotel and went to the bathroom LOL. Was so frickin' atas in there. We explored a little bit and were like tourists hehe. T'was a fun time! Looking forward to more dates with my friends! (◡‿◡✿)

ABTM 3: Frogmen

This movie is one of the most sought-after movies, like c'mon, nobody would miss such movie unless they only like western movies.

Blue uniforms. Elite. Something I am interested to know because, all I know that it is a military section. But I do not have any idea what's the difference. After this movie, I have learnt a lot. But for those who doesn't do NS, I would say, we find it hard to relate as in how tough it was and everything. My friend and I couldn't really relate even though it was emotional at some parts, making us tear.

It was a really great movie with comedy, of course. My favourite character would be Warrant Ong. So. Fucking. Hot. In those army attires such as tee, khaki and boots, or tee, army pants and boots. Oh. My. God. So. Fucking. Cool. So. Fucking. Hot. I can't even. I was just so damn attracted to him as the character. Not the actor, btw.

The cinema was so crowded, every single seat being filled. That's how popular this movie has been.

These pics are all googled. BUT LOOK. W-A-R-R-A-N-T  O-N-G. MY BAE. JK. HAHAHAHA

Granny is older than SG!! (・`◡´・)ゝ

By a few months, damn. March VS August, bro. I'm amazed. I know I'm a bad granddaughter for not knowing her actual age but hello, which lady is insensitive while telling her age? THOSE FEELS, Y'KNOW! Okay, so right, godmom AKA 2nd paternal aunt AKA Mama Joo (to me) invited us over for New Year dinner at her house. At the same time, she realized it was gramma's birthday and thus, decided to celebrate her birthday too.

-Inserts a letter to her-
